The purpose of the walking tour is to examine the building stones in selected buildings, monumentsand statues in central Cape Town. The building stones comprise sedimentary, igneous andmetamorphic rocks and the mineralogy, texture and, in some sedimentary rocks, the sedimentarystructure will be seen.
